Peripheral Vascular Doppler

An arterial Doppler is often performed to evaluate blood flow in patients at risk for peripheral artery disease (PAD), which involves a narrowing of arteries in the legs or feet as a result of plaque build-up. While patients may not notice many symptoms, pain in the legs while exercising is often a sign of PAD. Doppler technology uses sound waves to detect blood flow and identify any differences in blood pressure within different areas of the arms and legs. Ultrasound is a medical imaging technique that uses a physical mechanic similar to a submarine's sonar or dolphin echolocation. The device, called a transducer, sends out high frequency sound waves and then “listens” to the response to create an image based on the sound reflected back at the machine.

Hand held doppler : D580 Model

Hand held doppler model D580, is a non-invasive vascular test used to screening with diabetes patients. D 580 helps to diagnose the peripheral arterial disease (PAD). A complete self contained system to carry out vascular, fetal, and arterial investigation and monitoring using the principal of doppler ultra sounds.

Hand held doppler : Lifedop L150 R Model

The summit life dop vascular doppler l150 non display doppler has excellent sound quality and full line of non-directional probes for screening of arterial and venous insufficency. This vascular ultrasound is an easy tool to find the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI), however the Toe pressure cannot be measured using this doppler for finding the toe brachial index (TBI).
